Nina Compton

St. Lucia Culinary Ambassador and native, Nina Compton is Chef/Owner of Compère Lapin in New Orleans, which has received critical acclaim including a rave review in The New York Times, Top 10 Winner of Playboy’s Best New Bars in America 2016  and “Best New Restaurant” nods by New Orleans Magazine and Times-Picayune. In 2018, the talented toque was awarded the “Best Chef South” by The James Beard Foundation, and has been named one of Food & Wine magazine’s “Best New Chefs 2017”. In addition to her huge success on her first restaurant, Compton is opening her second restaurant – Bywater American Bistro – in early 2018.
