A LEGACY OF GIVING BACK
At Food & Wine, charity and sustainability have always been a part of our DNA. That’s why we introduced Food & Wine Gives in 2019. This philanthropic initiative was created to help facilitate meaningful change through community outreach and by supporting our outstanding charitable partners.
 No child should go hungry in America. But nearly 14 million children in the United States live with hunger. No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive.
Founded in 2017 by James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Shepherd and Executive Director Lindsey Brown, the Southern Smoke Foundation provides emergency relief funding and mental health services to food and beverage professionals nationwide.
The organization serves restaurant, bar, and café workers, farmers, ranchers, winemakers, distillers, brewers, and others whose livelihoods depend on feeding people. It delivers both immediate assistance and long-term healing. To date, Southern Smoke Foundation has granted more than $15 million and provided over 9,100 no-cost counseling sessions across eleven states and Washington, D.C.
