What are the dates of the 2027 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen?
June 18-20, 2027.
Where do the events take place?
The wine and cocktail tasting seminars, along with cooking demonstrations, are held in hotels and tents situated within the city parks of Aspen. The Grand Tasting Pavilion can be found in the heart of Aspen, specifically in Wagner Park.
Are animals permitted?
Animals are not permitted in any Food & Wine Classic in Aspen events. Service/working animals are not considered pets and are exempt from this policy.
Is smoking allowed?
No smoking, vaping or electronic cigarette usage is allowed at any Food & Wine Classic in Aspen events.
Is there a bag policy?
Guests are allowed one small personal bag only. Backpacks, luggage, large personal bags and other bulky items are prohibited.
What Food & Wine Classic in Aspen events can I attend if I have a food allergy?
The events at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen feature a wide variety of foods and beverages from all categories. We cannot guarantee that participating chefs and restaurants will prepare dishes without common allergens, including nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Additionally, not all events will have vegetarian options available. It’s important to always ask the chef, server or vendor whether or not allergens or ingredients are in the dishes you are going to consume.
How do I prepare for the altitude?
The high altitude of the Rockies affects everyone to a certain degree. You may find yourself a little short of breath or slightly more fatigued than usual. Please bring sunscreen and/or a hat since the sun’s rays are stronger at the higher altitude. It is wise to drink plenty of water when you arrive in Aspen until your body has adjusted. (We suggest at least 8 glasses of water a day to balance the great wine and spirits you’ll be sampling!)

Which airport should I fly into?
Attendees traveling to Aspen for the 2027 Food & Wine Classic will have several alternate airport options as the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) will be temporarily closed from April 4 through November 19, 2027, as part of the ASE Modernization Project. Travelers should plan to fly into one of the following airports:
- Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE):Â Just 70 miles from Aspen and a 1.5-hour drive
- Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT):Â 130 miles away, approximately a 2 hour drive
- Denver International Airport (DEN):Â Approximately 220 miles from Aspen and a 3.5-hour drive
- Garfield County Regional Airport (RIL): Approximately 61 miles from Aspen and available for private aviation
- Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), Colorado Springs (COS): Additional options for travelers flying in from other regions
Travel times are estimates and may vary based on traffic, weather, and road conditions.
