Antoni Porowski is a New York Times bestselling author, Emmy-winning producer/TV personality and a globally-renowned culinary expert with a lifelong passion for food.
Porowski can currently be seen in his National Geographic docuseries No Taste Like Home produced by Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay Global. The docuseries follows Porowski on a captivating journey to explore the diverse cultural heritages of global celebrities by way of their ancestors’ culinary traditions, techniques, and experiences. Each episode features Porowski guiding a celebrity guest on a unique expedition of cultural and personal discovery. The docuseries includes exclusive, intimate conversations where travelers open up to Porowski, sharing family stories, their profound connection with food and culture, and the new perspectives they’ve gained about their heritage and personal identity. The all-star lineup of guests for the first season includes Florence Pugh, Issa Rae, Justin Theroux, Henry Goulding, Awkwafina, and James Marsden.
Porowski is known most notably as the food and wine expert on Netflix’s award-winning series Queer Eye, which recently debuted its ninth season. The series has won the Emmy Award for “Outstanding Structured Reality Program” for six consecutive years, breaking the current category record for most wins. As a producer on the series, the 75th Emmy Awards marked the first time that Antoni was recognized with an Emmy trophy in his name, along with his co-hosts. The same year, Antoni and his fellow Fab Five received an Emmy nomination for the fourth consecutive year in the category of “Outstanding Hosts For A Reality Or Competition Program.” Porowski is set to go into production for Season 10 of the hit series later this year.
Porowski’s first cookbook Antoni in the Kitchen debuted at #2 on the New York Times’ Best Seller List in 2019. His follow up cookbook Antoni: Let’s Do Dinner was released in September 2021 and was also named on the Best Seller List. In his cookbooks, Porowski aims to teach readers how to become more confident in the kitchen with simple recipes for cooks of all levels.
Porowski can also be seen as the host of Netflix’s Easy-Bake Battle, which he also executive produced. Inspired by the popular children’s toy, the new culinary competition series features skilled and clever home cooks, all with a ton of heart and soul, facing off and using their most ingenious kitchen hacks to prove who can make the easiest, fastest, and most delicious food. The series was released on the platform in the fall of 2022. Also in 2022, Antoni appeared in Focus Features’ Spoiler Alert, based on Michael Ausiello’s bestselling memoir, alongside Jim Parsons, Sally Field and Ben Aldridge.
In addition to his on-screen and writing endeavors, Porowski is also a proud co-founder of Yummers, a pet food brand consisting of a variety of gourmet and functional mix-ins and supplements to better enhance the meals of our favorite furry friends. Porowski created and launched the company alongside fellow Fab Five member Jonathan Van Ness and Frechette Rudisch, a former Petco executive.
Born in Canada to European emigrants, Porowski is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights everywhere, especially his family’s native Poland where he serves on the board of the Equaversity Foundation which was established to organize international fundraising to support the LGBTQ+ community in Poland. He also currently serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme, where he is able to combine his passions for food and culture to advocate on behalf of the 309 million people facing severe hunger around the world.
