Master Sommelier/Founding Partner Apres Cru Hospitality

In addition to being the fifth bald Master Sommelier, Sabato has helped run some of the leading wine programs and restaurants around the country including the Greenbrier Hotel, Inn at Little Washington, The Little Nell, bartaco and Union Square Hospitality Group where he served as the companies first ever Chief Restaurant Officer.

In 2020 he became a founding partner in Apres Cru a New York City based hospitality company that provides strategic investment to growing brands including Marc Forgione’s Respect Hospitality Group, Pig & Khao Hospitality, the iconic speakeasy Please Don’t Tell, and the East Village institution Crif Dogs.

When not working, you can find him cooking at home, surfing, snow boarding, or by watching him in the SOMM documentary trilogy.
